Short version

• The app works on your device. Your plans, pins, tasks, photos, files, notes, sheets, and contacts stay on the device unless you explicitly export or share them.
• MyMarkups runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac (the Mac build is the same app via Mac Catalyst). Storage and file protection follow Apple’s rules on each platform.
• We do not run servers that hold your project data.
• Contacts are excluded from every export and share by default. You must tick them on each time you want to include them.
• This website is static and uses Plausible for anonymous, cookie-free analytics. Contact and newsletter forms use rate-limited functions protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.

Relationship to the in-app privacy policy

The shipping app includes a detailed legal privacy policy (UK GDPR–oriented) covering categories of data you may store, lawful bases, retention, and regional notices. That document is provided inside the app and updated with app releases. This page is the public privacy policy for the marketing site at https://mymarkups.app/privacy and summarises the same commitments in plain language. For regulatory or contractual purposes, treat the in-app policy as the full legal text for application processing; treat this page plus the sections below as the record for website and form processing.

What the app stores on your device

MyMarkups stores project bundles, PDFs, drawings, layers, photos, tasks, notes, sheets, contacts and settings in the app’s sandboxed container on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS (Mac Catalyst). Files use Apple File Protection (complete) where supported and are excluded from iCloud backup by default to reduce accidental sync of site data to third-party clouds.

What leaves the device, and when

Data only leaves the device through actions you initiate: exporting a PDF, sharing a project bundle, AirDropping a file, or opening a third-party app (mail, phone, QuickLook). When you export, you choose exactly what is included via the per-item export picker. Contacts are never included unless you explicitly opt in.

Third-party apps you can hand off to

• Email via mailto: links and the system share sheet.
• Phone via tel: links.
• QuickLook for file previews.
• Camera and barcode scanner for capture and scans.

Once data leaves the app via one of these paths, it is governed by the recipient app’s and recipient’s policies. The app does not send your content in the background.

This website

This marketing site is static and hosted on a CDN. It uses Plausible Analytics, which aggregates anonymised visit stats without cookies or cross-site tracking. Contact forms and newsletter signups use rate-limited serverless functions protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Your email is only used for what you asked for (support reply or newsletter).

Children

The app and site are not directed at children under 13.
