The barcode scanner lives in the work area sidebar and inside any pin’s port and testing info.
- 1 Open a pin and tap the barcode icon next to the MAC address field (or open the work area Barcode tab).
- 2 Point the camera at the label - the scanner auto-detects common formats.
- 3 Choose what to link the scan to: pin, dataset, file, or (future) PC companion.
- 4 Tap Save. The text is stored verbatim so you can search it later.
Tips
- Use a torch on dark plant rooms.
- Scan before you pin - that way you won’t lose track of which rack a switch sits in.
