Drawing layers and markup
Freehand, shapes, measurements and text - without flattening your plan.
Drop an MP4 at this path, or a poster.jpg in the same folder. Alternatively edit this tutorial's frontmatter and set videoProvider: "mux" (or "youtube") + videoId. Recommended: 1280x720 MP4, H.264, under 20MB.
See public/media/README.md for specs.
MyMarkups uses non-destructive layers, like Photoshop. Your PDF is never changed - layers sit on top.
Starting a layer
- 1 Open a plan and tap the floating drawing icon.
- 2 Tap New Layer and name it (e.g. 'As-fitted cable routes').
- 3 Pick a tool - freehand, line, arrow, box, text, bucket fill.
- 4 Size and colour are remembered between sessions.
Working with selections
Tap any shape to select it. Handles let you move, stretch, and rotate. Force-press or double-tap opens the context menu (delete, settings, style).
Exporting layers
Only the layers you tick on export are included, and each layer is tied to its drawing. See Exports and handover.
